Established in 1999 by a group of parents and friends, MYAA is a non-profit Filipino athletic assocation that provides basketball opportunities for Filipino youth in and around the Peel Region and GTA area. MYAA provide quality leadership promoting the values of teamwork, integrity and commitment, while developing skills at all levels of competition and a lifelong love ot the game.

MYAA Mission Statement:

MYAA is committed to a personalized and sensitive partnership with our youth today, through recreational and athletic activities in cooperation with parents, volunteers and agencies to assist pave their way into a positive and smoother integration in our society.

Goals:

• Team resources and capabilities to provide comprehensive and quality athletic activities for boys and girls in the ages of 6 - 19
• Teach sports discipline
• Make learning fun
• Demonstrate sportsmanship, camaraderie, brother/sisterhood
• Open awareness to the excitement of setting goals and honesty
• Network with community agencies and supporters
